6 Day Morocco Golf Itinerary
The Atlas to Atlantic route: two desert rounds from a Marrakech riad, Assoufid and the Kyle Phillips designed Al Maaden, then three hours south on the A7 motorway to Agadir for Golf du Soleil and the clifftop Tazegzout above Taghazout Bay. Fly into Marrakech, fly home from Agadir, four marquee rounds, one transfer, no day wasted. Here is the day by day, with indicative 2026 fees and when to go.

Who this trip suits
This is the Morocco trip for golfers who want variety over ceremony: red desert golf under the snow capped Atlas one day, ocean cliff golf above Atlantic surf two days later. Where our 7 day Morocco itinerary opens in Rabat with the flagship Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, pictured above, this tighter six day routing skips the capital entirely and splits the trip between Marrakech, the country's liveliest golf hub, and Agadir, its mild Atlantic resort coast. Fly into Marrakech Menara, out of Agadir Al Massira, and the only transfer of the week is a three hour run down the A7 motorway with the High Atlas filling the windshield.
It suits a buddies four ball on a long week off, a couple mixing souks and surf towns with four serious rounds, and anyone doing Morocco on a budget that would barely cover two rounds in the Algarve. Green fees for all four courses total roughly 300 to 350 euro at indicative 2026 rates. If you have an extra day, the 7 day version adds Rabat and the Dar Es Salam Red Course, the Robert Trent Jones Sr championship test that hosts the Trophee Hassan II; with this six day plan you trade that pilgrimage for the coast.
The 6 day plan
Arrive in Marrakech, settle into a riad
Land at Marrakech Menara, a short 15 minute transfer from the medina, and check into a riad in the old city or a resort base on the golf belt south of town. Walk the souks, watch Jemaa el Fnaa light up at dusk, and confirm the week's tee times with your host or planner. In the cooler months the first slots of the morning are gold; from late spring they are essential.
Assoufid Golf Club
Open at Assoufid, the Niall Cameron design from 2014 that most visitors call the best course in Marrakech: a par 72 of about 6,440 meters routed through rolling sandy waste, olives and cactus, every hole framed by the snow capped High Atlas. It sits about 20 minutes south of the city. Indicative 2026 fees run about 1,100 dirhams, the premium round of the week, with caddies a modest extra. Take an early tee, then spend the afternoon at the pool or back in the medina.
Al Maaden Golf Resort
Stay on the Marrakech belt for Al Maaden, the Kyle Phillips layout from 2010, around 7,180 yards of bold water lines, sculpted bunkers and contemporary sculpture about 15 minutes from the center. Indicative 2026 fees are about 750 dirhams, remarkable for the architect of Kingsbarns. Traditionalists can swap in the historic Royal Golf Marrakech, a 1920s parkland of olives and orange trees once played by Churchill. Last night in the old city; book the rooftop dinner.
Drive the A7 to Agadir, afternoon at Golf du Soleil
Leave after breakfast and take the A7 motorway southwest through the western High Atlas, about three hours and roughly 250 kilometers door to door, with tolls around 100 dirhams. Check into the Agadir resort strip, then play an afternoon round at Golf du Soleil, the 36 hole club whose Championship course has hosted Ladies European Tour golf. Indicative 2026 fees are about 900 dirhams, less for Tikida hotel guests. Dinner by the marina with the Atlantic in earshot.
Tazegzout Golf, Taghazout Bay
Save the view for last. Tazegzout, Kyle Phillips again, opened in 2014 on a headland 15 minutes north of Agadir, a par 72 of about 7,360 yards whose closing stretch plays along cliffs up to 80 meters above the ocean at Taghazout Bay. Indicative 2026 fees are about 720 dirhams, absurd value for the drama. Tee off mid morning once the marine haze lifts, then spend the late afternoon in Taghazout itself, the surf village that gives the bay its name.
Beach morning, fly home from Agadir
A last swim or a long beachfront breakfast, then the 35 to 40 minute drive to Agadir Al Massira for the flight home. If your fares force a round trip through Marrakech, allow three hours back up the A7 and book an evening departure. Golfers stretching the trip can detour north to Mazagan, the Gary Player links style resort course on the coast near El Jadida, or simply add the Rabat leg from the 7 day itinerary.

Packing, timing and how to run it
Time the trip for October to May. The shoulders, October to November and March to April, are the sweet spot: Marrakech mornings around 20 degrees Celsius, snow still on the Atlas for the postcard backdrop, and full tee sheets that reward booking the Assoufid and Tazegzout slots first. From June to August Marrakech runs seriously hot and inland golf becomes a dawn exercise, while Agadir stays breezy and playable on the coast all year, which is exactly why this routing finishes there. Pack a wind layer for the Tazegzout clifftops, sunscreen for everywhere, and euros or dirhams in cash for caddie tips, typically 150 to 250 dirhams a round. A private driver for the week is the smart spend: rounds, riad, the A7 transfer and the airport runs all flow through one van, and our Morocco green fees guide covers what every other course in the country charges if you want to tinker with the lineup.
Plan your 6 day Morocco trip
Tell us roughly when and who is travelling, and one concierge locks the Assoufid and Tazegzout tee times, matches a riad and an Agadir base to your style, and arranges the driver for the A7 transfer, costed to the head with no obligation. Winter slots move early, so the sooner we start the better.
Morocco itinerary questions
What is the best 6 day golf itinerary in Morocco?
Split the six days between Marrakech and Agadir. From a Marrakech riad play Assoufid, the Niall Cameron desert course below the Atlas, and Al Maaden, the Kyle Phillips design dotted with contemporary art. Then drive about three hours south on the A7 motorway to the Atlantic coast for Golf du Soleil and Tazegzout, the Kyle Phillips clifftop course at Taghazout Bay, before flying home from Agadir. Always confirm tee times and rates directly before booking.
How much do green fees cost on a 6 day Morocco golf trip?
Budget roughly 3,200 to 3,700 dirhams for the four rounds in indicative 2026 fees, about 300 to 350 euro in total. Assoufid is the premium round at about 1,100 dirhams, Al Maaden runs about 750, Golf du Soleil about 900 with discounts for Tikida hotel guests, and Tazegzout about 720. Caddies and buggies are modest extras at every club. Fees vary by season and channel, so always confirm current rates directly before booking.
When is the best time for a Morocco golf trip?
October to May is the season, with the sweet spots in October to November and March to April. Marrakech gets seriously hot from June to August, when golf inland becomes an early morning affair, while Agadir on the Atlantic stays milder year round, which is one reason this routing finishes on the coast. Book the marquee tee times ahead in the winter peak and always confirm conditions and rates before booking.
Should I fly into Marrakech or Agadir for this itinerary?
Fly into Marrakech Menara, about 15 minutes from the medina, and home from Agadir Al Massira, about 35 to 40 minutes from the resort strip. The open jaw routing saves the three hour drive back north and both airports have wide European connections. If your fares force a round trip through Marrakech, the A7 return is an easy morning run; allow about three hours plus tolls. Always confirm flight and transfer logistics before booking.
