An independent guide, written by golfers who travel

The world's great golf,
ranked, reviewed and planned.

GolfForKings exists to answer two questions well: which courses are truly worth the trip, and how do you turn the best of them into one you will actually take. We rank and review the golf, then plan the journey around it.

What we are

We are an independent guide to the best golf courses and golf trips on earth, written for the golfer who travels to play. Part of the for kings family of premium directories, we keep one editorial standard: specific over generic, verified over assumed, useful over breathless. We would rather tell you the booking window and the wind on the 12th than sell you a feeling.

Every course we profile is fact checked at the time of writing for its designer, year, par, yardage and indicative green fee, with sources confirmed by hand. Where a number can move, such as a green fee, we mark it indicative, attach the season and year, and tell you to confirm directly before booking. We never invent a number, a review or a quote.

How it works

Start with the golf. Browse the course index and the destination guides, read our verdicts, and shortlist the courses you want to play. When you are ready, send the brief: the dates, the group and the kind of trip you are after. A concierge replies within one working day with a costed itinerary, tee times, the right hotel and transfers folded into one all in number per head.

There is no fee to plan, and no obligation to book. We are remunerated by the operators and resorts we recommend, and we may earn a commission from partners when you book through our links. That is how the guide stays free to read, and why we are careful to keep the editorial honest and the recommendations ones we would make to a friend.

Our promise on facts

Course facts are verified at the time of writing. Green fees are indicative, dated and flagged to confirm directly before booking. Editorial verdicts are ours; visitor sentiment stays general unless it is sourced. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

Who it is for

Affluent travelling golfers planning trips of every shape: buddies trips, society tours, couples, corporate days and the bucket list round. If you care more about the golf than the gloss, you are in the right place.

Where to go next: see how we rank courses, browse the full course index, or start with a trip such as Mallorca or Hua Hin. When you are ready, tell us the brief.
