Naples and Southwest Florida Golf Packages and Breaks: Where to Stay and Play

Naples is where the LPGA crowns its champion, where Greg Norman built two courses behind a Ritz-Carlton, and where winter golf is a religion practiced in low 80s sunshine. It is also a market of gated clubs, which makes knowing the genuinely bookable public access core, Tiburon, Old Corkscrew, Lely and the beach resort courses, the whole game. Here is how the packages work, what they cost in 2026, and how we would build the week.

Who this trip suits

This is the winter escape trip, built for golfers who want tournament pedigree with a beach hotel attached. Couples get the easiest version anywhere in Florida: the Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburon puts two Greg Norman courses outside the lobby, the spa and Fifth Avenue South dining do the rest, and nobody drives more than half an hour. Groups get a deep bench of quality public access golf at three price tiers, from Tiburon at the top through Old Corkscrew's Nicklaus design to the Lely Resort courses, with a condo or villa base keeping the math friendly. And tournament fans can build the trip around November and December, when the CME Group Tour Championship and the Grant Thornton Invitational bring the professional game to town.

The courses to build around

Tiburon Golf Club, the Ritz-Carlton Naples

The anchor. Two Greg Norman designs share the property: the Gold, opened in 1998, stage of the LPGA's CME Group Tour Championship since 2013 and the mixed team Grant Thornton Invitational each December, and the Black, tighter, quieter and preferred by plenty of locals. There is no rough to speak of, just coquina waste areas and stacked sod bunkers, which makes both courses far more playable than their tournament resume suggests. Pricing is fully dynamic and moves daily, roughly $99 in the summer trough to $500 at the winter peak, and Ritz-Carlton guests get the cleanest access on property.

Old Corkscrew Golf Club, Estero

The best pure golf day in the region away from the resorts: a Jack Nicklaus Signature design carved out of wetland and cypress northeast of Naples, with no homes on the property and alligators where the galleries would be. High season visitor rates have listed at about $189 Sunday to Thursday and $225 on Friday and Saturday with cart included. It is a serious examination from the back tees, so play it fresh, not as the fourth round of the week.

Lely Resort and the value tier

Lely Resort on the East Trail gives the trip its volume golf: the Flamingo Island course, a Robert Trent Jones Sr design with listed rates of about $120 to $165, and the Mustang alongside it keep a buddies group playing daily without Tiburon pricing. Naples Grande Golf Club, a Rees Jones design attached to the Naples Grande Beach Resort, covers the hotel and golf pairing at the next tier, and the JW Marriott Marco Island connects beach days to its affiliated golf inland. That spread, one marquee day, one Nicklaus day, two value days, is the template.

When to book, and when to go

December to April is the season the whole market is priced around: dry air, low 80s, and tee sheets that fill two to four weeks out at the marquee courses, so book January to March mornings as early as your dates firm up. November and early December are our favorite windows, when the LPGA and the mixed event are in town, the weather is set fair and the deepest winter pricing has not fully landed. May keeps most of the weather at softer rates, and June to September is the bargain play, hot and humid with afternoon storms, but fine for morning golf at half the winter price. Fly into Fort Myers RSW, thirty to forty five minutes from most of this golf, and rent a car.
