Stig Notlov's design winds through old pineapple and mango plantations against a mountain backdrop, with immaculate conditioning, water in play and a genuine championship test that has hosted European and Asian Tour events. Pineapple Valley Golf Club

Rebranded from Banyan in 2024, this is one of the most scenic rounds in the country, rolling through former pineapple fields and tropical hills with sea and mountain views. It is generous and enjoyable for a mixed ability pair, beautifully kept, and pairs naturally with Black Mountain for a two course Hua Hin stay. Blue Canyon Country Club, Canyon Course

The most famous course on Phuket and one of Asia's iconic championship venues, a Yoshikazu Kato design routed around an old tin mine with water and canyon carries on its closing stretch. The best base on the island for a couple. Laguna Phuket is an integrated beach resort complex on Bang Tao Bay, with a string of hotels, spas, lagoons and the golf course all linked by shuttle, so you can play in the morning and meet on the beach by lunch.
