Tunisia Golf Holidays

Ronald Fream fairways along the Mediterranean, a short flight from Europe and some of the best value green fees on the continent. Warm winters and easy weeks.

Who this trip suits

Tunisia is the value play of Mediterranean golf. The flights are short from most of Europe, the green fees are a fraction of Spain or Portugal, and the courses sit beside warm sea and large all inclusive resorts that keep the whole trip easy.

  • Society and buddies groups chasing four or five rounds at the keenest prices in the Mediterranean.
  • Winter golfers who want reliable warmth without a long haul flight, especially on Djerba.
  • Couples and mixed groups who want golf paired with spa, souks and a full board base.
  • Anyone who has played Spain and Portugal and wants the same idea for noticeably less.

Day 4

A rest day for the medina, the spa or the beach, then a relaxed twilight nine back in Hammamet.

Days 5 to 7

Either add The Residence near Tunis for a city finish, or fly down to Djerba for warm island golf before flying home.

Best time to go and to book

The sweet spots are March to May and September to November, when the heat is gentle and the courses are at their best. Winter stays mild and very playable, especially on Djerba, which is why Tunisia works as a value alternative to the Algarve for sun starved golfers. July and August are too hot for enjoyable golf and best avoided. Hammamet has the shortest transfer from Tunis and Enfidha airports, so it is the simplest first base. Book peak spring and autumn rounds two to four weeks ahead, and lock all inclusive rooms earlier for the Easter and February windows.
