Who this trip suits
Punta Cana is the rare golf destination that asks nothing of the people who do not play. The golf is genuinely world class, yet it sits beside white sand beaches and full board resorts, so a buddies group, a couple and a family can all be happy on the same trip.
- Buddies and society groups who want three or four bucket list ocean holes without leaving the Caribbean.
- Couples and families who want one golfer's paradise and one beach holiday under a single all inclusive roof.
- North American travelers chasing winter sun with short, direct flights into Punta Cana airport.
- Anyone who wants Nicklaus and Fazio seaside golf at a friendlier price than Pebble Beach or Cabo.
The courses to build around
Every fact below was checked at the time of writing. Green fees are indicative and seasonal, so treat them as a guide rather than a quote.

Punta Espada
Opened in 2006, with eight holes playing right along the sea. Consistently rated among the very best courses in the Caribbean and the headline round of any trip.

Corales
A Tom Fazio design opened in 2009 and home to the PGA Tour's Corales Puntacana Championship. The closing Devil's Elbow run along the cliffs is the most photographed stretch on the island.

La Cana
The course that started Punta Cana golf, opened in 2001 and now a 27 hole complex with oceanfront and inland nines. The most relaxed and best value of the marquee layouts.
Hard Rock Cana Bay
A second Nicklaus design, this one inland and generous off the tee, attached to the Hard Rock all inclusive and a favorite for larger groups.
Iberostar Bavaro
A parkland P. B. Dye layout woven through lakes and mangroves, steps from the Iberostar resort cluster and easy to fold into a beach week.
Cocotal
A coconut plantation course in the heart of Bavaro, three relaxed nines that suit mixed ability groups and shorter golf days.
A sample structure
One way to shape a week from an all inclusive base. We tune the order to your tee times, resort and handicaps, never the other way around.
Land at Punta Cana and settle into your resort. An easy afternoon at La Cana to find your feet in the trade wind, then the full 18 the next morning while the air is cool.
The marquee round at Punta Espada in Cap Cana, eight holes along the sea and the photographs you came for. Long lunch over the marina afterward.
Corales and its Devil's Elbow finish, the PGA Tour holes along the cliff edge. Bank the rest of the day for the beach or the spa.
A relaxed inland round at Hard Rock Cana Bay or Iberostar Bavaro, then free days to split between golf, water sports and the all inclusive before flying home.

Best time to go and to book
The prime window is December to April, the dry season, with warm days, steady trade winds and the lowest chance of rain. May and November are quieter shoulder months and still very playable. August to October overlaps the Atlantic hurricane season, so prices soften but heavy afternoon showers become more likely. Book Punta Espada and Corales tee times four to eight weeks ahead in high season, and lock all inclusive rooms earlier still for the Christmas, New Year and February windows when resorts fill fast.
