When to book, and when to go
Spring is the Hill Country at full strength: March to May brings warm days, the bluebonnet bloom and the Valero Texas Open buzz, and it is also when rates peak and tee sheets fill, so book resort packages two to three months out. October and November are the insider's window, the same golf in golden light with summer pricing gone.
