The short answer
Plan on $130 to $425 per round at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in 2026, depending on whether you are staying on property, the time of year, and whether you book in advance or close to the date. Resort guests pay the lowest rates, starting at $130 in January and December and climbing to $375 during the peak months of June through September. Day guests (those not staying at the resort) pay $50 more per round in peak season, while those who lock in a tee time more than 21 days ahead are classified as Premium Day Guests and pay the highest published rate, around $475 at the peak. Oregon residents receive the same rate as resort guests regardless of accommodation.
All figures here are indicative 2026 rates sourced directly from the resort and verified in June 2026. They are a guide, not a guarantee. Rates change without notice, so always confirm current fees directly with the resort before booking. There are no twilight rates, no buggy upgrades to factor in, and no hidden cart surcharges at Bandon Dunes, because every course is walking only, year round. What you see in the fee table is what you pay to play.

The Bandon Preserve and Shorty's: par 3 green fees
Alongside the five championship courses, the resort operates two par 3 layouts. Bandon Preserve is a 13-hole course designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw that rolls down toward the beach from the top of a dune. Shorty's is a 19-hole par 3 that opened more recently. Both are open to all guests at a single flat rate, and all net profits go to the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation.
| Course | Jan · Dec | Feb | Mar · Apr | May | Jun to Sep | Oct | Nov |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bandon Preserve (13-hole par 3) | $60 | $70 | $90 | $115 | $125 | $115 | $90 |
| Shorty's (19-hole par 3) | $60 | $70 | $90 | $100 | $125 | $115 | $90 |
Replay rates do not apply to Bandon Preserve or Shorty's. All net profits from both courses support the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. Indicative rates only; always confirm before booking.
How green fees work at Bandon Dunes
The single biggest variable in what you pay at Bandon Dunes is your guest status, not the course you choose. All five 18 hole courses carry the same green fee for a given rate tier and month, so a round on the Bandon Dunes course costs the same as a round on Sheep Ranch or Pacific Dunes. That is an unusual arrangement for a resort of this caliber and it simplifies the planning considerably: the decision is always which course rather than what the course costs.
The second variable is season. The Oregon Coast climate means the peak window runs from June through September, when days are long, morning fog typically burns off, and the summer wind picks up off the Pacific. Those months carry the highest rates and the busiest tee sheets. October is one of the best value months at the resort: rates drop to the same level as May, the crowds thin, the light is extraordinary, and the courses are in excellent condition after the summer. November into early December and then January through February are the true value months, with rates at their floor. The tradeoff is wetter, wilder weather and more wind, which many links purists regard as a bonus rather than a penalty.
The third variable is how far in advance you book. Day guests who call more than 21 days ahead are slotted into the Premium Day Guest category and pay the highest published rate, with tee times restricted to after 10 a.m. Day guests booking within 21 days pay the standard day guest rate. Neither category is available at any time from November through March at the premium booking window. Oregon residents always pay the resort guest rate regardless of where they sleep.
There is no online booking engine. Bandon Dunes Golf Resort takes all reservations by phone through its reservations team, who match lodging, rounds, and courses into a package. For resort guests, the deposit covers one room night per room reserved plus one 18 hole round per player. Golf only reservations require a deposit equal to all rounds booked and that deposit is non refundable inside 90 days of arrival. The resort recommends calling early: it has been booking further in advance than usual given strong demand for the 2026 season. Walking only: caddies and push carts
Every course at Bandon Dunes is walking only, year round, without exception for weather or ability, unless a permanent physical disability is documented in advance. The resort provides complimentary push carts and pull carts for all guests, and they are the default option for players who do not take a caddie. The caddie fee is $100 per bag per round plus gratuity, paid directly to the caddie, not the resort. Caddies are independent contractors and are encouraged rather than compulsory, but on a layout like Pacific Dunes or Sheep Ranch, a caddie who knows the subtle breaks on the enormous greens and the best angles in the prevailing wind is worth the cost many times over. You can request a specific caddie when booking. Riding carts require advance documentation of a permanent disability and carry a $30 fee; a caddie is still required to accompany the cart.
The walking only policy is fundamental to the identity of the resort. These are links style coastal courses where the ground game matters, where reading the terrain is part of the challenge, and where a four hour walking round in the sea air on the Oregon coast is the experience the resort was built to deliver. Embrace it, and budget the caddie as part of the trip cost rather than an afterthought.
Where to spend, and where to save
For the money: book a resort stay, which locks in the lowest green fee rate across all five courses and gives you priority access to the tee sheet. A week of five or six rounds as a resort guest comes out significantly cheaper per round than the same number of rounds as a premium day guest, and you get the full on site experience, the shuttle, the practice facility, and the dining without driving. The practice facility is complimentary for resort guests and $10 for day guests.
For the value round without staying on property: book within 21 days and take the standard day guest rate, which saves $50 per round versus the premium advance booking tier. If you are an Oregon resident, you pay the resort guest rate regardless, so the cost advantage of staying on site narrows to the experience benefits rather than the fee savings.
October is the strongest combination of value and conditions for most golfers. Rates drop back to May levels, the courses are excellent after the summer, and the coastal weather in October can be spectacular. January and February offer the lowest fees of the year but wind and rain are more frequent. If wild links weather on world ranked courses at $130 a round sounds appealing, winter at Bandon Dunes is one of the most atmospheric golf experiences in America, and among the best on the Oregon coast in any season.
A second round on the same day (the replay rate, at roughly half price) is one of the best deals in American golf if your legs hold out. On a walking only resort with five courses, two rounds on different layouts in a long summer day is entirely achievable, and the math rewards the effort.
