Kaya Palazzo Golf Club, Belek fairway framed by umbrella pines and a lake on the Antalya coast, Turkey
Course profile · Belek, Antalya coast, Turkey

Kaya Palazzo

David Jones carved Kaya Palazzo out of the umbrella pine forest at Belek and opened it in 2007, a par 72 of about 5,887 metres winding past lakes and through stands of mature pine. It is the golf course attached to the lavish Kaya Palazzo resort, and the green fee comes with the same all inclusive food and drink that defines the Belek experience.

The verdict

Belek is the engine room of Turkish golf, a stretch of the Antalya coast where umbrella pine forest meets the Mediterranean and a dozen resort courses sit within easy reach of one another. Kaya Palazzo, designed by Ireland's David Jones and opened in 2007, is one of the more characterful of them, threading its fairways through dense, mature pine and around a series of lakes.

At about 5,887 metres it is not the longest course on the coast, but the tree lined corridors and well placed water put a premium on position and accuracy over raw power. As the course of the five star Kaya Palazzo resort, it is played on the all inclusive basis that makes Belek such good value, food and drink on the course folded into the green fee through the cooler months. It is an ideal pairing with Carya and the Gloria and Cornelia courses on a Belek golf week.

Designer, opening year, par and yardage verified June 2026 from Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort and leading golf travel databases. The course was designed by David Jones and opened in 2007, a par 72 measuring about 5,887 metres (roughly 6,440 yards); some scorecards list it at par 71, so confirm the card on the day. Green fees are charged on an all inclusive basis through the September to May golf season and vary by date, so always confirm the current rate directly before booking.

The holes worth the trip

Kaya Palazzo plays through the pine in tight, defined corridors, the trees standing close enough to demand a straight ball and the lakes coming into play on several of the better holes. It is a thinking golfer's resort course, less about length than about plotting a route and keeping the ball in the short grass.

Water is the recurring hazard, fronting and flanking greens and forcing a decision off the tee on the reachable par 5s and the longer par 4s. The par 3s are varied and well bunkered, and the rolling terrain gives more movement than the flat Belek stereotype suggests. The greens are true and run at a fair pace through the cooler season when the course is at its best.

The closing stretch tightens again through the pine and asks for control rather than heroics. Kaya Palazzo rewards the accurate iron player and the golfer who resists the urge to overpower it, and it returns you to one of the most comfortable clubhouses on the coast, all inclusive refreshment included.

Where to stay nearby

The natural base is the Kaya Palazzo resort itself, where the rooms, spa and dining sit beside the course and the all inclusive board extends to the golf. It makes for a self contained golf week with nothing to organise beyond the tee times.

Belek is built for golf travel, so the wider resort strip offers a long list of five star hotels within a short drive of every course on the coast. It is the ideal region to build a multi course trip around, pairing Kaya Palazzo with Carya, the Gloria courses and Cornelia on a single Antalya golf week.
