The Costa Blanca is at its best from October to May, when the rest of Europe is too cold for golf and the Alicante coast is mild and sunny; midsummer is hot, so early tee times are the rule. The region is built for golf tourism, so courses are easy to book and most welcome visitors freely.

Las Colinas Golf and Country Club near Orihuela Costa, a 2010 Cabell Robinson design, is widely regarded as the best on the Costa Blanca and was voted Spain's best course three years running at the World Golf Awards. The Olazabal layout at La Sella near Denia leads the group behind it.
The densest cluster is in the south around Orihuela Costa, home to Las Colinas, Villamartin and several more within a short drive, while Denia and Alicante add quality courses to the north. Alicante airport sits in the middle, which makes the whole coast easy to cover from one base.
