Who this trip suits
This is France done without compromise. It suits couples, low handicap purists and small groups who want the country's best courses, the Ryder Cup Albatros at Le Golf National, the Dave Thomas designs at Terre Blanche and the exclusive Les Bordes, wrapped in five star resort stays, caddies or buggies, private transfers and a planner who has already secured the tee times. The golf is world class and the off course living, the Provencal villages, the Riviera and the food and wine, is a big part of the appeal.
It also rewards the golfer who values ease. France is large, so the strongest luxury trips pick one region and go deep: Provence and the Cote d'Azur around Terre Blanche, or the Paris region with Le Golf National and a run south to the Loire for Les Bordes. We build it so the only daily decision is which tee to play from. Compare the wider scene in our golf in France hub and the broader France golf holidays guide.

A sample structure

Day 2, Terre Blanche, Le Chateau
The resort's championship Dave Thomas course on home turf, rolling through Provencal oak and olive, a short buggy ride from your suite. Spa or a Riviera lunch in the afternoon.
Day 3, Terre Blanche, Le Riou
The resort's handsome second course, tighter and more scenic in places, the perfect complement before a day off the clubs exploring the perched villages of the Var.
Day 4, Chateau de Taulane or a Riviera course
Head north into the mountains for the Gary Player designed Chateau de Taulane, or stay coastal for one of the Riviera tracks, with a long Provencal lunch either way.

Frequently asked
What makes a France golf tour a luxury tour?
A luxury France tour pairs the country's best courses, the Ryder Cup Albatros at Le Golf National, the Dave Thomas designs at Terre Blanche in Provence and the exclusive Les Bordes in the Loire, with five star resort stays, prebooked tee times, caddies or buggies and private transfers. The difference is the access and the stays as much as the golf.
How much does a luxury golf trip to France cost?
As a guide, indicative 2026 prices run from around 3,000 USD per head for a premium week up to 7,000 USD and beyond for an ultra luxury trip with the top resorts and the marquee rounds, excluding international flights. Green fees and hotel rates move with the season, so always confirm directly before booking.
When is the best time for golf in France?
Late spring and early autumn, May to June and September to October, are the prime windows across most of France, with warm, settled weather. Provence and the Cote d'Azur play well from spring into autumn, while the Paris region is best in summer. July and August are hot in the south, so early tee times help.
Which is the best course in France?
The Albatros at Le Golf National near Paris, host of the 2018 Ryder Cup, and the Old Course at Les Bordes in the Loire are widely rated the two best courses in France, with Terre Blanche's Le Chateau the finest resort course. The strongest luxury trips build around two or three of these.
