The courses to build around
Lakewood Club at the Grand Hotel
The Trail's coastal jewel, set among ancient oaks beside the historic Grand Hotel on Mobile Bay. The original 18 holes date to 1947 by Perry Maxwell; the Dogwood was renovated in 2018 and the Azalea reopened in 2019. Two walkable, handsome resort courses on the doorstep of your hotel.
Magnolia Grove
A Robert Trent Jones Trail original from 1992 across creeks, marshes and lakes. The Crossings has hosted the LPGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour, an open parkland test; the Falls, reopened in 2010, is the only par 71 on the Trail. A 54 hole site with a short course, ideal for a big golf day.
The beach courses
South of the bay, the resort and daily fee courses around Gulf Shores and Orange Beach round out a week, with the Gulf beaches a few minutes away. Pair a couple of these with the Trail rounds for a classic golf and beach blend.
