Green Fees in Andalusia: What Golf Costs in 2026

Spain's golf heartland runs from a 600 euro midday window at Valderrama to everyday resort rounds for a tenth of that. Between them sit the 2023 Solheim Cup course at Finca Cortesin, the Sotogrande estate, Marbella's golf valley and the inland tournament courses of Seville and Jerez. Here is what golf actually costs in Andalusia in 2026, course by course.

The short answer

Budget 60 to 200 euro for most of the good golf, 250 to 460 for the elite, and one number all its own at the top. Real Club Valderrama, host of the 1997 Ryder Cup and by reputation the best maintained course in Europe, admits visitors only in a midday window from Monday to Thursday at around 550 to 600 euro on 2026 rates, plus a mandatory forecaddie of about 70 euro, with strict limits on how often any visitor may play. Finca Cortesin, the 2023 Solheim Cup stage above Casares, runs roughly 300 to 460 euro by season with buggies included, and La Reserva de Sotogrande spans about 109 euro in low season to 262 at the peak.

Below the giants, Andalusia is a value market. Marbella's golf valley plays from around 90 euro at Los Naranjos, Robert Trent Jones Sr's 1977 parkland, the multi course resorts like La Cala run about 90 to 170 at peak, and the everyday resort layer around Marbella and Mijas starts near 60. Inland, the tournament courses of Seville and Jerez, Olazabal's Real Club Sevilla and the Nicklaus designed Montecastillo, price well below the coastal headliners. A week that mixes one giant with five strong supporting rounds lands near 1,000 euro in green fees.

When Andalusia fees peak and dip

The calendar runs opposite to northern Europe. Spring and autumn, roughly March to May and September to November, are the prime windows, warm, settled and busiest, and they carry the top rates. Winter stays mild and popular with traveling golfers, priced competitively. High summer is the bargain, late June through August, when rates fall sharply and the smart money plays at first light or twilight to dodge the heat; inland Seville and Jerez in midsummer belong to the shade, so save those for October to May.

Access is the other axis. Valderrama's visitor window is midday Monday to Thursday only, with caps on visits per month and per year and full closures around tournament weeks, so it gets booked far ahead. Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Las Brisas and Aloha are members' clubs with limited windows at premium fees; Finca Cortesin, La Reserva and the resort layer book like normal tee sheets. Build the trip around the one restricted round and let everything else flex.

How to pay less

Book like a local. Twilight rates run well below the morning card at the same course, summer pricing cuts the headline numbers by a third or more, and the coast lives on packages: a resort bundling three or four rounds, or a planner pricing the week as one piece, routinely beats rack rates. The multi course resorts, La Cala's three layouts above Mijas chief among them, give the steadiest value per round, and the everyday Marbella courses keep a buddies week honest at 60 to 110 euro.

Then spend the savings on the one round that matters. Whether that is Valderrama's midday window or Finca Cortesin with the Solheim Cup still echoing, Andalusia rewards the barbell trip: one giant, five value rounds, every night in the same bed. Andalusia green fee questions

How much does it cost to play Valderrama in 2026?

Around 550 to 600 euro on the published 2026 visitor rates, plus a mandatory forecaddie of around 70 euro and gratuity. Visitors are admitted only in a midday window from Monday to Thursday, with limits on how often any visitor may play in a month and a year, and tournament weeks close the window entirely. Book far ahead and always confirm directly before booking.

What do the other Sotogrande courses cost in 2026?

Finca Cortesin, the 2023 Solheim Cup host above Casares, runs roughly 300 to 460 euro by season on 2026 listings, with buggies included. La Reserva de Sotogrande runs from around 109 euro in low season to roughly 262 at the summer peak. Real Club de Golf Sotogrande, Robert Trent Jones Sr's 1964 original, is a private club admitting limited visitor play around 250 to 385 euro. Always confirm directly before booking.

When is golf cheapest in Andalusia?

High summer, roughly late June through August, when the coast empties of golfers and rates fall well below the spring and autumn peaks; play early or at twilight to beat the heat. Twilight tee times and package bookings cut the rack rate year round, and inland Seville and Jerez are cheapest of all outside their own spring window. Always confirm directly before booking.

Is Andalusia expensive for a golf trip?

Only at the very top. Valderrama at 550 to 600 euro and Finca Cortesin from around 300 are the exceptions; the strong middle of the market, Los Naranjos, La Cala and the better resort courses, runs about 90 to 170 euro at peak, and everyday resort golf around Marbella and Mijas starts near 60. A week mixing one giant with five mid tier rounds lands around 1,000 euro in green fees. Always confirm directly before booking.
